Terrell, Texas – JP Industrial Products, a privately-held plastic recycling company that specializes in PVC reprocessing, expanded its North American presence last week by securing manufacturing space outside of Dallas, Texas.
JPI’s new location, known as JPI Central, responds to the industry demand for a local operation capable of providing a variety of reprocessing services in a burgeoning Texas marketplace. The facility will also serve as a strategically positioned recycling operation in response to the increasing challenges of a volatile freight market.
Jamin Pastore, Chief Executive Officer for JPI, stated, “JPI’s primary aim in the Texas region, and everywhere in North America for that matter, is to provide support to industry partnerships that our family cherishes. We are beyond fortunate to have the relationships and partnerships that we have had over the years and we are excited to explore the new opportunities that await us in Texas.”
Plans for the new JPI facility includes a multi-year, three-phase expansion that begins with a $5m investment into the facility for proprietary granulation and separation technology that is expected to be operational by December 2018. The 50,000 sq ft facility also includes 5,000 sq ft of office space, 7 acres to accommodate immediate expansion plans, and an active rail spur to support blending and compounding abilities.
The expansion will create 20-30 jobs within the Dallas region and will increase overall production capacity by 50 million pounds in 2019. JPI Central is the fifth location since the company began over 30 years ago, and the third location JPI has established in the past 12 years.
